Our 4th year back in Frankenmuth, and it’s bigger and better yet!  Five exciting events will keep you on the edge of your seat all afternoon:

MAMMOTH Car Squat– What better way to showcase Schaefer & Bierlein’s Chrysler, Jeep, RAM or Dodge lineup  then to squat them on MAMMOTH custom built frames?  Athletes will un-rack a car on their back, squat down until the hip is lower than the top of the knee, then return to the upright position.   Not once, but as many times as possible in 60 seconds!

MAMMOTH Farmers Carry– Over 300lbs per hand will have to be carried on a unique “suitcase style” apparatus down a course and back.  Head-to-head human drag races…Fastest time wins!

MAMMOTH Press Medley– Athletes will clean a giant Circus Dumbbell with a handle the size of a soda pop can to their shoulder, then attempt to press it overhead with one arm.  If they succeed, they then move to a massive steel log, clean and press it overhead too.  Again, once is not enough; back and forth for 60 seconds!

Carry Medley– 3 grueling odd shaped objects- a cement filled beer keg, a shape-shifting sandbag, and a water filled sloshing drum must be picked from the ground and carried 60 ft. each.  Run back and get the next one.  A true test of will!

The Kerns Sausage Hold– A throwback to World’s Strongest Man 1988.  Athletes will hold a row of hanging sausages in excess of 40lbs straight out and level in front at arm’s length until their body says no more!

The top 2 from each division (except novice) will qualify for the 2016 NAS Amateur Nationals in Quad Cities IA on October 7th and 8th.  Classes offered are:

Novice
Women’s LW, MW, HW
Master’s (over 40)LW, HW
Men’s LW, MW, HW
The pole push will be back for any tiebreakers, and if there’s enough interest, we’ll have another bracket tournament while the final scores are tabulated!
